Back3.1.13.6.(4)

ATTRIBUTION:

Most technical provisions of the BC Fire Code describe how the code’s objectives and functional statements are achieved. However, some provisions, like this one, do not relate directly to a code objective. The following analysis is provided to assist in understanding of the provision.

APPLICATION:

Maximum flame-spread rating of occupancies in corridors, referred to in Sentences 3.1.13.6.(1) to (3).
This applies to buildings described in Sentence 1.3.3.2.(1) of Division A.

INTENT:

To expand the application of the flame-spread rating limits specified in Sentences 3.1.13.6.(1), (2) and (3) so that they will apply to occupancies in the corridor as well as to the corridor itself.
