APPLICATION:
Combining exhaust ducts of nonmechanical ventilating systems serving similar occupancies, in buildings described in Sentence
1.3.3.2.(1) of Division A.
INTENT:
To exempt ducts serving similar occupancies from the application
of Sentence
6.2.3.8.(1) and allow ducts to be combined at a point where
contaminants are immediately exhausted to the outdoors and are unlikely to
enter the ventilated occupancies.
This is to limit the
probability of harm to persons.
