APPLICATION:
Openable windows, in buildings of residential occupancy to which Part 9 applies [see Sentence
1.3.3.3.(1) of Division A for application of Part 9].
INTENT:
To limit the probability that inadequate fall protection,
particularly for children and infants, will lead to falls from a significant
height through open windows, which could lead to harm to persons.
To expand the application of Section 9.8. to include guards
for windows.
