3.1.2.6.(1)ATTRIBUTION:
Most technical provisions of the BC Fire Code describe how the code’s objectives and functional statements are achieved. However, some provisions, like this one, do not relate directly to a code objective. The following analysis is provided to assist in understanding of the provision.
APPLICATION:
This sentence applies to small retail food facilities within the scope of Part 3.
INTENT:
To permit small restaurants to be classified as retail and minimize the impact on
small suites and buildings having to conform to Part 3 restaurant (A2) requirements.
To harmonize with the Zoning and Development By-law definition.
