CIVIL FORFEITURE

In the Matter of Part 3.1 (Administrative Forfeiture) of the Civil Forfeiture Act [SBC 2005, C. 29] - the CFA

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT:

The property described below is subject to forfeiture under Part 3.1 of the CFA and will be forfeited to the Government for disposal by the Director of Civil Forfeiture unless a notice of dispute is filed with the Director within the time period set out in this notice.

A notice of dispute may be filed by a person who claims to have an interest in all or part of the subject property. The notice of dispute must be filed within 60 days of the date upon which this notice is first published. You may obtain a notice of dispute that meets the requirements of Section 14.07 of the CFA, from: www.gov.bc.ca/civilforfeiture.

On April 5, 2018, at the 8800 block of Delwood Drive, Delta, BC, Peace Officer(s) of the New Westminster Police Department seized, at the time indicated, the subject property, described as: a Men’s Rolex Watch, on or about 13:30 Hours. CFO file Number: 2019-6443.

The subject property was seized because there was evidence that the subject property had been obtained by the commission of an offence (or offences) under section 354(1) (Possession of property obtained by crime) of the Criminal Code of Canada.

AND:

On July 24, 2014, at the 26000 block of Fraser Highway, Langley, B.C., Peace Officer(s) of the Langley RCMP seized, at the time indicated, the subject property, described as: $625 CAD, on or about 20:23 Hours. CFO file Number: 2019-6548.

The subject property was seized because there was a warrant authorized by the court pursuant to the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act of Canada to seize evidence in respect of an offence (or offences) under section 5(2) (Possession for purpose of trafficking) of the CDSA.

AND:

On April 27, 2018, at the 400 block of East Columbia St, Vancouver, BC, Peace Officer(s) of the Vancouver Police Department seized, at the time indicated, the subject property, described as: $1,295 CAD, on or about 19:27 Hours. CFO file Number: 2019-6563.

On June 18, 2018, at the zero block of East Hastings St, Vancouver, BC, Peace Officer(s) of the Vancouver Police Department seized, at the time indicated, the subject property, described as: $495 CAD, on or about 21:30 Hours. CFO file Number: 2019-6563.

The subject property was seized because there was evidence that the subject property had been obtained by the commission of an offence (or offences) under section 5(2) (Possession for purpose of trafficking) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act of Canada.

AND:

On December 15, 2018, at 14:50 Hours, at the 2000 block of Forest Drive, Nanaimo, B.C., Peace Officer(s) of the Nanaimo RCMP seized the subject property, described as: a 2004 blue Acura TL, VIN:19UUA66204A800146 BCLP: GT754C. CFO file Number: R-6609 (AC-7734).

The subject property was seized because there was evidence that the subject property had been used in the commission of an offence (or offences) under section 5(2) (Possession for purpose of trafficking) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act of Canada (CDSA) and was therefore offence-related property pursuant to section 11 (Search, seizure and detention) of the CDSA.

AND:

On December 5, 2018, at the 1000 block of W Hastings Street, Vancouver, B.C., Peace Officer(s) of the Vancouver Police Department seized, at the time indicated, the subject property, described as: a 2001 Mercedes S600V (BCLP: FH750B, VIN: WDBNG78J91A183657), on or about 22:10 Hours, and $320.00 CAD & $634.70 CAD, on or about 23:00 Hours. CFO file Number: R-6658.

The subject property was seized because there was evidence that the subject property had been used in and/or obtained by the commission of an offence (or offences) under section 5 (2) (Possession for purpose of trafficking) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act of Canada.

AND:

On November 29, 2018, near Broadway Avenue and Main Street, Smithers, B.C., Peace Officer(s) of the Smithers RCMP seized, at the time indicated, the subject property, described as: a 2003 Hyundai Tiburon (BCLP: GT258P, VIN: KMHHN65D03U014623) and $5,130.00 CAD, on or about 07:40 Hours. CFO file Number: R-6666.

The subject property was seized because there was evidence that the subject property had been used in and/or obtained by the commission of an offence (or offences) under section 5 (1) (Trafficking) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act of Canada.

AND:

On August 30, 2017, at the 3500 block of Norwood Avenue, North Vancouver, B.C., Peace Officer(s) of the North Vancouver RCMP seized, at the time indicated, the subject property, described as: $5,650.00 CAD, on or about 08:20 Hours, and $1,445.00 CAD, on or about 07:34 Hours. CFO file Number: R-6729.

The subject property was seized because there was evidence that the subject property had been obtained by the commission of an offence (or offences) under section 5(2) (Possession for purpose of trafficking) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act of Canada.

AND:

On March 2, 2019, near E 61 Avenue and Ontario Street, Vancouver, B.C., Peace Officer(s) of the Vancouver Police Department seized, at the time indicated, the subject property, described as: $35,055.00 CAD, on or about 02:44 Hours. CFO file Number: R-6802.

The subject property was seized because there was evidence that the subject property had been obtained by the commission of an offence (or offences) under section 354(1) (Possession of property obtained by crime) of the Criminal Code of Canada.

AND:

On March 20, 2019, at the 3000 block of Douglas Street, Victoria, B.C., Peace Officer(s) of the Victoria Police Department seized, at the time indicated, the subject property, described as: a 2013 Ford Escape (BCLP: 525MFG, VIN: 1FMCU9H91DUC38975), on or about 21:00 Hours. CFO file Number: R-6817.

The subject property was seized because there was evidence that the subject property had been used in the commission of an offence (or offences) under section 5(2) (Possession for purpose of trafficking) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act of Canada. [my2]
