DISSOLUTION OF IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT - GLENMORE-ELLISON IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT

AND

ASSETS, OBLIGATIONS AND REFERENCES TRANSFER - THE CITY OF KELOWNA

Notice is hereby given that Order in Council (OIC) No. 343 was approved and ordered on June 17, 2024, authorizing:

1. Letters Patent issued on April 5, 1990 (OIC 563/1990), incorporating the Glenmore-Ellison Improvement District (GEID) are revoked and GEID is dissolved, effective January 1, 2025

2. Assets, obligations, and references of/to GEID are transferred to and assumed by the City of Kelowna.

3. The water service of GEID is continued as a local area service of the City of Kelowna.

4. The area of the local area service is the same, and has the same boundaries, as the area described as the GEID in the Letters Patent issued on April 5, 1990 (OIC 563/1990), as amended.

5. This OIC is authorized under sections 680, 681 and 45 of the Local Government Act, [R.S.B.C. 2015].
