ORDER IN COUNCIL

Dissolution of Municipality – Jumbo Glacier Mountain Resort Municipality

and

Assets, Rights, and Obligations Transfer – Province of British Columbia

and

Services Transfer – Regional District of East Kootenay

Notice is hereby given that Order in Council 699/2021, was approved and ordered on December 13, 2021 authorizing:

1. Letters Patent issued on November 19, 2012 (OIC 760/2012) incorporating Jumbo Glacier Mountain Resort Municipality (Municipality) are revoked and the Municipality is dissolved.

2. Assets, rights, and obligations of the Municipality are transferred to and assumed by the Province of British Columbia.

3. Service jurisdiction is transferred to and assumed by the Regional District of East Kootenay.

4. This OIC is authorized under sections 41 and 46 of the Local Government Act, [R.S.B.C. 2015] and sections 49, 52 and 53 of the Municipalities Enabling and Validating Act (No.4).
