SECTION 14: [Municipal Act, re-enacts section 54] removes a requirement for ministerial approval of bylaws under this section.

SECTION 16: [Municipal Act, amends section 58 (1) to (3)] allows property elector certificates to be obtained up to and including on general voting day.
SECTION 17: [Municipal Act, repeals and replaces section 61 (5) (a)] adds a reference to the proposed section 57.1.
SECTION 18: [Municipal Act, repeals and replaces section 62 (6)] adds a requirement that the election notice respecting the list of registered electors include a statement that electors can request their personal information be obscured or omitted from the list that is available for public inspection.
SECTION 19: [Municipal Act, re-enacts section 63] requires personal information on a list of registered electors to be omitted or obscured if requested by an elector.
SECTION 20: [Municipal Act, repeals and replaces section 66 (2) (d)] makes consequential cross reference changes.
SECTION 21: [Municipal Act, repeals and replaces section 72 (2) (b)] requires candidates to provide a declaration on oath or by solemn affirmation as to the truthfulness of the information provided in their nomination documents.
SECTION 22: [Municipal Act, enacts section 72.1] allows local governments to establish a requirement for nomination deposits.

SECTION 24: [Municipal Act, amends section 75] requires the chief election officer to challenge a candidate's nomination if it appears that the person is disqualified from holding office.
SECTION 25: [Municipal Act, adds section 77 (2) (c.1) and (c.2)] requires the notice of an election to include information respecting registration as an elector in conjunction with voting.
SECTION 26: [Municipal Act, amends section 83]
SECTION 27: [Municipal Act, adds section 84 (1) (a.1)] includes the seeking of elector organization endorsement as part of a local government election campaign.
SECTION 28: [Municipal Act, amends section 85 (3)] clarifies that elector organizations which endorse candidates must have a person appointed as financial agent.
SECTION 29: [Municipal Act, enacts section 85.1] requires campaign funds to be dealt with through separate accounts.

SECTION 31: [Municipal Act, enacts section 89.1] requires candidates to pay any election surplus of $500 or more to the applicable municipality or regional district, which is to hold the amount for use by the person in the next general local election.
SECTION 32: [Municipal Act, re-enacts sections 90 to 93 and enacts sections 90.1, 90.2 and 92.1 to 92.5] in relation to the campaign financing provisions of the Act:

SECTION 35: [Municipal Act, amends section 103] removes the requirement that municipalities with a population greater than 100 000 must establish voting divisions.
SECTION 36: [Municipal Act, repeals and replaces section 115 (1) (a)] adds a reference to the proposed section 57.1.
SECTION 37: [Municipal Act, repeals and replaces section 147 (2)] clarifies the application of this rule.
SECTION 38: [Municipal Act, enacts section 152.1] prohibits certain election advertising on general voting day for local government elections.
