MS. REID
HER MAJESTY, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Assembly of the Province of British Columbia, enacts as follows:
1 Section 24 (1) (c) of the Family Relations Act, R.S.B.C. 1996, c. 128 is amended to read:
(c) the love, affection and similar ties that exist between the child and other persons, including grandparents;
2 Section 35 is amended by adding the following subsection:
(5) An order for access may include access to the extended family members of the child, including grandparents.
3 This Act comes into force by regulation of the Lieutenant Governor in Council.
