MR. MICHAEL SATHER
This bill amends the Wildlife Act and Wildlife Act, Hunting Regulation by adding provisions that prohibit, in the act of hunting, the impeding of wildlife and the baiting of wolves.
HER MAJESTY, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Assembly of the Province of British Columbia, enacts as follows:
1 Section 27 of the Wildlife Act, RSBC 1996, chap. 488 is amended by adding the following subsection:
(5) A person who, in the act of hunting, impedes the movement of wildlife by placing a motorized vehicle, aircraft, boat or other mechanical device between wildlife and the direction the wildlife is proceeding commits an offence.
2 Section 18 is amended by adding the following subsection:
(3) A person commits an offence if that person hunts wolf by placing bait, including using a dead animal or part of a dead animal as bait.
