WHEREAS the Village of Qualicum Beach is without power to issue and sell debentures for park purposes:
AND WHEREAS the village is desirous of issuing and selling debentures for the purpose of purchasing and developing certain property within the village lying between the Island Highway and the sea:
AND WHEREAS it is expedient to so provide:
THEREFORE, HIS MAJESTY, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Assembly of the Province of British Columbia, enacts as follows:—
2 Notwithstanding the provisions of the "Village Municipalities Act," the Commissioners of The Corporation of the Village of Qualicum Beach may, by by-law passed within two years from the commencement of this Act, with the assent of the electors, authorize the borrowing, and in pursuance thereof may borrow, from any person such sum of money, not exceeding ten thousand dollars, and for such purpose issue and sell debentures in serial form, upon the credit of the municipality, not repayable within the same municipal year, as may be necessary for the purchase for park purposes of the following described lands, namely:—
(a) Lots 9, 10, 12, and 13 of District Lot 101a, Newcastle District, Plan 3414:
(b) Those parts of Lots 101a (D.D. 3238n) and 101, Newcastle District, lying to the north-east of the north-easterly boundary of Plan 3868 and to the south-west of a boundary parallel to and perpendicularly distant 150 feet south-westerly from the south-westerly boundary of Station Road:
(c) Those parts of Lots 101a (D.D. 3238n) and 101, Newcastle District, lying to the south-west of the south-westerly boundary of the road dedicated by Plan 3390, except those parts of said Lot 101a included within the boundaries of Plans 3370 and 3414.

3 The by-law shall in all respects conform to the provisions of the "Village Municipalities Act" relating to money by-laws.
