WHEREAS the title to the lands designated as park on a certain map or plan registered in the Vancouver Land Registry Office under No. 8267 is vested in Her Majesty in right of the Province:

AND WHEREAS the Vancouver-Westminster Metropolitan Council for Church Extension of the United Church of Canada is the registered owner of Block 20 of Sections 40 and 41, Hastings Townsite Suburban Lands, as shown on a map or plan filed in the Land Registry Office at Vancouver under No. 8287, and has agreed to convey the said Block 20 to Her Majesty in right of the Province of British Columbia, to be used for park purposes:

AND WHEREAS the Board of Park Commissioners and the Council of The Corporation of the City of Vancouver deem it to be to the advantage and for the benefit of the public and have requested that a portion of the said park be exchanged for the said Block 20:

AND WHEREAS it is desirable that this exchange be allowed:

NOW, THEREFORE, HER MAJESTY, by and with the consent of the Legislative Assembly of the Province of British Columbia, enacts as follows:—

Short title

1 This Act may be cited as the "Renfrew Heights Park Lands Exchange Act."

Crown grant authorized

2 The conveyance by way of Crown grant of a 0.68-acre parcel designated as Block 24 on a plan of a portion of Section 40, Hastings Townsite Suburban Lands, prepared by C. D. Underhill, B.C.L.S., and dated the twenty-sixth day of March, 1953, and more particularly described as follows: Commencing at the north-easterly corner of the said park; thence north 45° 20' 30" west 180.15 feet along the northerly boundary of the said park; thence south 44 ° 39' 30" west 164.0 feet; thence south 45° 20' 30" east 180.15 feet, more or less, to the easterly boundary of the said park; thence north 44° 39' 30" east 164.0 feet along the said easterly boundary of the said park to the point of commencement, to the Vancouver-Westminster Metropolitan Council for Church Extension of the United Church of Canada is hereby authorized.

Crown grant conditional

3 The said Crown grant shall not be issued until the Vancouver-Westminster Metropolitan Council for Church Extension of the United Church of Canada has conveyed to Her Majesty in right of the Province Lot 20 of Sections 40 and 41, Hastings Townsite Suburban Lands, as shown on Plan No. 8287 in the Land Registry Office at Vancouver.

Registrar of Land Titles

4 The Registrar of Land Titles at Vancouver shall accept for registration the said Crown grant and the said conveyance of Lot 20, and shall make all necessary entries in order to carry out the effect of this Act.
