Assented to March 15, 1955
WHEREAS by the terms of the "Point Grey and District Lot 140 Agreement Act" being chapter 39 of the Statutes of 1924, the Lieutenant-Governor in Council was authorized to redefine the territorial limits of the Corporation of Point Grey by eliminating therefrom a portion of District Lot 140, Group 1, New Westminster District, upon the conditions in the said Act contained:
AND WHEREAS by Order in Council No. 553, approved the fifteenth day of May, 1925, made pursuant to the said Act, the territorial limits of the Corporation of Point Grey were amended by eliminating therefrom a portion of the said District Lot 140 therein described:
AND WHEREAS a part of the said portion of said District Lot 140 is vested in the Crown and administered under the "University Endowment Lands Administration Act":
AND WHEREAS it is deemed expedient to authorize the Lieutenant-Governor in Council to grant to the University of British Columbia a part of the said District Lot 140, containing four hundred and thirty-five acres, more or less, for the purpose of extending the site of the said University:
THEREFORE, HER MAJESTY, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Assembly of the Province of British Columbia, enacts as follows:—
1 This Act may be cited as the "University of British Columbia Site Grant Act."

2 It shall be lawful for the Lieutenant-Governor in Council, upon such terms and conditions as he may see fit, to grant to the University of British Columbia a part of District Lot 140, Group 1, New Westminster District, containing four hundred and thirty-five acres, more or less, to be known as "Lot 6494, Group 1, New Westminster District."
