WHEREAS Byron Ingemar Johnson, M.B.E., served many years as Member of the Legislative Assembly and as Prime Minister of British Columbia:

AND WHEREAS it is fitting that the Legislature and the people of British Columbia acknowledge his great public services by making the grant herein provided:

THEREFORE, HER MAJESTY, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Assembly of the Province of British Columbia, enacts as follows:—

Short title

1 This Act may be cited as the Byron Ingemar Johnson Act.

1959-97-1.

Payment of grant from Consolidated Revenue Fund

2 (1) There shall be paid to the said Byron Ingemar Johnson, M.B.E., out of the Consolidated Revenue Fund of the Province, the sum of five thousand dollars per annum during his lifetime.

(2) The annual payments under subsection (1) shall be made on the first day of April in each year, the first of such payments to be made on the first day of April, 1959.
