Interpretation

1   In this Act

"minister" means that member of the Executive Council charged by order of the Lieutenant-Governor in Council with the administration of this Act;

"park land" means such land in the Cassiar Land District of the Province as may be designated pursuant to an agreement referred to in section 2.

Agreement with Canada

2   Subject to the approval of the Lieutenant-Governor in Council, the minister, on behalf of the Government, may enter into an agreement with the Government of Canada for the purpose of providing for

(a) the establishment and maintenance by the Government of Canada of a national historic park comprising the park land, and

(b) all matters relating to the park land.

Transfer of administration and control of land to Canada

3   (1) The Lieutenant-Governor in Council may transfer the administration and control of land vested in Her Majesty the Queen in right of the Province to Her Majesty the Queen in right of Canada for the purposes of an agreement under section 2.

(2) A transfer of administration and control of land under this section includes the mines and minerals in, on, or under the land.

4   The Lieutenant-Governor in Council may make regulations.
