(1) The Business Corporations Act and the Society Act do not apply to the society.

(1) The objects of the society are,
(a) subject to section 10 (3), to assist low income individuals to resolve their legal problems and facilitate access to justice for low income individuals,
(b) subject to section 10 (3), to establish and administer an effective and efficient system for providing legal aid to low income individuals in British Columbia, and
(c) to provide advice to the Attorney General respecting legal aid.

(a) the society is to identify and assess the legal needs of low income individuals in British Columbia;

(a) issue a transport permit under section 25 of the Manufactured Home Act, or

(2) The aggregate of the expenditures made by the society in a fiscal year and the liabilities incurred by the society that might reasonably come due in the fiscal year must not exceed the society's revenue for that fiscal year.

(1) On or before November 21 of each year, the society must provide a budget to the Attorney General.

(7) The Lieutenant Governor in Council may remove or replace an official trustee before the end of the official trustee's term if the Lieutenant Governor in Council is of the opinion that the official trustee is acting in a manner that is inconsistent with his or her responsibilities under subsection (3).
