Mineral Land Reserve (Harmony Gold) Regulation

Definitions

1   In this regulation:

"land" includes foreshore and land covered by water;

"reserve" means the mineral reserve established under section 2;

"reserve period" means the period beginning on the date this regulation comes into force and ending on March 1, 2030;

"site number" means the site number given in the registry to a particular area of land shown on an electronic map in the registry.

Temporary reserve established

2   A mineral reserve for all minerals is established for the reserve period over the area of land identified by site number 1007094 and the site name Harmony Gold Project.

No registration of claims in reserve

3   A free miner must not register a claim in the reserve.

No exploration, development or production in reserve

4   A person must not conduct the following activities in the reserve:

(a) the search for a mineral;

(b) the exploration and development of a mineral;

(c) the production of a mineral.

Term of claim

5   The expiry date of a mineral claim located in the reserve is extended to November 1, 2030.
