1 Part 2 of the Residential Tenancy (Supportive Housing) Regulation is amended by adding the following Divisions:
9.1 (1) For the purposes of section 4.5 (1) (a) [landlord's right to enter supportive housing rental unit restricted] of the Act, the following purposes, period of time and circumstances are prescribed in relation to a landlord entering a supportive housing rental unit:
(a) the tenant gives permission at the time of the entry or not more than 30 days before the entry;
(b) the landlord provides housekeeping or related services under the terms of a written tenancy agreement and the entry is for that purpose and in accordance with those terms;
(c) the landlord has an order of the director authorizing the entry;
(d) the tenant has abandoned the rental unit;
(e) an emergency exists and the entry is necessary to protect life or property.
(2) For the purposes of section 4.5 (1) (c) of the Act, the landlord may enter a supportive housing rental unit if, at least 24 hours and not more than 30 days before the entry, the landlord gives the tenant written notice that includes
(a) the purpose for entering, which must be reasonable, and
(b) the date and the time of the entry, which must be between 8 a.m. and 9 p.m. unless the tenant otherwise agrees.
Division 4 — Weapons and Dispute Resolution
"firearm" has the same meaning as in section 2 of the Criminal Code;
"imitation firearm" has the same meaning as in section 1 of the Firearm Violence Prevention Act;
"toy gun" has the same meaning as in section 40 (1) [exemptions from section 11 of Act for toy guns] of the Firearm Violence Prevention General Regulation.
(2) In this Division, "cross-bow", "prohibited device", "prohibited weapon" and "restricted weapon" have the same meaning as in section 84 (1) of the Criminal Code.
9.3 (1) For the purposes of the definition of "weapon" in section 4.8 (1) [order of possession: weapons] of the Act, the following objects are, subject to subsection (2) of this section, prescribed:
(b) an imitation firearm, other than a toy gun;
(2) The definition of "weapon" does not include a nail gun, a pneumatic tool, a power-actuated tool or a similar device designed for use in construction or manufacturing to fasten or join materials.
