Exemption from section 178 (1)

2  Section 178 (1) of the Act does not apply in respect of a payment, the allowance of payment, or an offer or promise of payment, of a commission or compensation to a person described in section 2 (1) (b.1), (c), (g), (i) and (2) of the Insurance Licensing Exemptions Regulation for acting only as described in that paragraph.
