Definition

1   In this regulation, "Act" means the Hydro and Power Authority Act.

Purposes of authority

2   (1) For the purposes of section 12 (1.1) (c) [other purposes of authority] of the Act, to promote the use of electricity is prescribed as a purpose of the authority.

(2) For certainty, the purpose set out under subsection (1) includes promotion for the purpose of reducing greenhouse gas emissions.
