Minister of State for Child Care Expected Results for the 2017/2018 Fiscal Year Regulation

Application of this regulation

1   This regulation applies to the Minister of State for Child Care for the 2017/2018 fiscal year.

Definition

2   In this regulation, "Act" means the Balanced Budget and Ministerial Accountability Act.

Minister of State for Child Care

3   The expected results that the Minister of State for Child Care is to achieve for the purposes of section 5 (3) of the Act are as follows:

(a) progress toward the development of an implementation plan for universal child care that provides affordable, accessible and high-quality care and learning to every child whose family wants or needs it, starting with infant and toddler programs before gradually expanding;

(b) engage with all levels of government, child care providers and private and not-for-profit sectors on the development of the implementation plan referred to in paragraph (a);

(c) submit to Cabinet a report on the results referred to in paragraphs (a) and (b) on or before March 31, 2018.
