Definitions

1   In this regulation:

"Act" means the Passenger Transportation Act;

"application to renew a licence" means an application to renew a licence under section 34 of the Act that is made

(a) on or after April 1, 2020, and

(b) before June 1, 2021.

Deferral of application fee to renew licence

2   Section 40 (b) (ii) of the Act does not apply to an application to renew a licence.

Payment of application fee required before renewal

3   A person who makes an application to renew a licence must pay the application fee referred to in section 40 (b) (ii) of the Act before the registrar renews the licence.

Licence expires if application fee not paid

4   A licence expires if the person who makes an application to renew the licence does not pay the application fee before the earlier of

(a) the date that is one year after the date on which the application is made, and

(b) June 30, 2021.
