Provider Regulation
55 Section 1 of the Provider Regulation, B.C. Reg. 222/2014, is amended
(a) by repealing the definition of "College of Pharmacists bylaws",
(b) by adding the following definition:
"Community Pharmacy Standards of Practice" means Schedule F of the bylaws of the regulator of pharmacists, made under the Health Professions and Occupations Act; ,
(c) by repealing the definition of "governing body" and substituting the following:
"governing body" means the following, as applicable:
(a) the regulator of pharmacists;
(b) an extrajurisdictional regulator within the meaning of the Health Professions and Occupations Act that is responsible for governing the health profession of pharmacy; ,
(d) in paragraph (c) of the definition of "information or billing contravention" by adding "Health Professions and Occupations Act," after "Health Professions Act,", and
(e) by adding the following definitions:
"regulator of medical practitioners" means the regulator that is responsible, under the Health Professions and Occupations Act, for governing the designated health profession of medicine;
"regulator of pharmacists" means the regulator that is responsible, under the Health Professions and Occupations Act, for governing the designated health profession of pharmacy; .
56 Section 3 (4) is repealed and the following substituted:
(4) An applicant is not eligible for enrolment in the opioid agonist treatment provider sub-class unless each pharmacist who will be providing drugs, devices, substances or related services through the pharmacy is certified, within the meaning of the Regulated Health Practitioners Regulation, by the regulator of pharmacists to provide restricted activities in relation to opioid agonist treatment services.
57 Section 12 (a) is amended by striking out "Part 1 of Schedule F to the College of Pharmacists bylaws" and substituting "Part 1 of the Community Pharmacy Standards of Practice".
58 Section 13 is amended
(a) in subsection (1) (a) and (b) by striking out "Part 3 of Schedule F to the College of Pharmacists bylaws" and substituting "Part 3 of the Community Pharmacy Standards of Practice", and
(b) in subsection (2) (a) by striking out "College of Physicians and Surgeons of British Columbia" wherever it appears and substituting "regulator of medical practitioners".
59 Section 18 (1) (a) is amended by striking out "College of Physicians and Surgeons of British Columbia" and substituting "regulator of medical practitioners".
