Section 41 (1) (a) to (c) was enacted by 2023-37-41(1)(a) to (c), effective July 8, 2024 (BC Reg 190/2024).

Section 43 (1) to (3) and (6) (a) to (c) was enacted by 2023-37-43(1) to (3),(6)(a) to (c), effective July 8, 2024 (BC Reg 190/2024).

Section 44 was enacted by 2023-37-44, effective July 8, 2024 (BC Reg 190/2024).

Section 79 (1) BEFORE amended by 2023-37-192, effective August 1, 2024 [coming into force of 2016-19-4].

(1) The minister responsible for the administration of section 3 (5) [duties of fire commissioner] of the Fire Services Act may, by order,

(a) assume control over one or more fire fighting and fire prevention services in British Columbia, and

(b) designate the fire commissioner under that Act to exercise authority over those services.

Section 161 (1) (c) BEFORE amended by 2023-37-193, effective August 1, 2024 [coming into force of 2016-19-13].

(c) the fire commissioner's exercise of a power under the Fire Services Act in relation to an emergency referred to in section 25 (1) or (3) of that Act;
