Hospital Insurance Act Regulations

35 Section 1.1 of the Hospital Insurance Act Regulations, B.C. Reg. 25/61, is amended by adding the following definitions:

"midwife" means a person who is authorized under the Health Professions and Occupations Act to practise the designated health profession of midwifery;

"oral and maxillofacial surgeon" means a person who

(a) is authorized under the Health Professions and Occupations Act to practise the designated health profession of dentistry, and

(b) is recognized by the regulator that is responsible, under that Act, for governing the designated health profession of dentistry as having specialist qualifications in oral and maxillofacial surgery; .

36 Section 5.1 is amended

(a) in paragraph (h) by striking out "where available", and

(b) by repealing paragraph (i) and substituting the following:

(i) use of occupational therapy and physical therapy facilities.

37 Section 5.7 (d) is repealed and the following substituted:

(d) use of occupational therapy and physical therapy facilities; .
