(a) the owner in fee simple of land within 1.5 km of a project area;

Part 4 — Security

Security

14 Section 25 (1), (3), (4) (b) and (5) [security] of the Fee, Levy and Security Regulation, B.C. Reg. 8/2014, applies in relation to renewable energy projects.

(1) This section applies in relation to

(a) Parts 5 to 8, and

(b) Division 1 of Part 9.

Section 47 (2) (b.1) was added by BC Reg 42/2026, effective March 24, 2026.

(3) A person is not required to comply with this regulation, other than section 49, before October 1, 2026 in relation to a specified existing project.
