Elevating Devices Safety Act
Elevating Devices Safety Codes Regulation
When either of two codes may apply
1 Effective February 1, 2003, the following safety codes in Column 2 are adopted in whole with the changes as listed in Column 2, and are in force and may be applied in the alternative to the safety codes in Column 1 between February 1, 2003, and May 31, 2003:

When only one code may apply
2 Effective June 1, 2003, the safety codes in Column 1 of the table in section 1 no longer apply and the safety codes in Column 2 of the table in section 1 continue to apply.
Exception
3 Despite section 2, work covered by a permit issued before June 1, 2003, to which the safety codes in Column 1 of the table in section 1 applied on May 31, 2003, may be completed in conformity with the safety codes in Column 1 on or after June 1, 2003.
