Temporary Certification Regulation

Temporary certification under section 50 of the Act to allow time for compliance

1   The Insurance Corporation of British Columbia may certify a motor vehicle under section 50 of the Act even though the motor vehicle does not fully comply with regulations under section 49 or 50 (2) of the Act, or both, if the corporation is satisfied that

(a) the owner of the motor vehicle has made and will make all reasonable efforts to bring the motor vehicle into compliance, and

(b) an undue hardship would result to the owner of the motor vehicle or to other persons if the motor vehicle is not certified under this section.
