Application of Health and Safety Regulations to the Farming Industry

 Application

1  In addition to the Regulations for Agricultural Operations, the following regulations will apply, effective April 15, 1998, to the "farming industry" as defined in B.C. Reg. 434/82, with the exception of aquaculture:

(a) Sections 2 to 8 of the Industrial Health and Safety Regulations, B.C. Reg. 585/77;

(b) other provisions of the Health and Safety Regulations that are referred to in Sections 2 to 8 and in the Regulations for Agricultural Operations;

(c) sections 5.1 and 5.3 to 5.21 of Part 5 and the whole of Part 33 of the Occupational Health and Safety Regulation.

Note: the references to other provisions in section 1 (b) of this regulation are to the following:
regulations 11.22, 13.19, 13.77, 13.79, 16.98, 16.100, 16.102, 16.126, all of Section 22, all of Section 24, regulation 46.22, all of Appendices A and B of B.C. Reg. 585/77 — the Industrial Health and Safety Regulation.
