 Delegation by the commissioner of investigation and mediation

1  The following classes of persons are designated for the purposes of section 46 (3) (b)1 of the Human Rights Code:

(a) human rights officers;

(b) those persons to whom human rights officers report for the purposes of investigations and mediations under the Human Rights Code.

 Annual report

2  The annual report under section 181 of the Human Rights Code must include a statement for the reporting period of the median times taken

(a) from filing a complaint until a human rights officer is assigned under section 23 (2) of the Human Rights Code,

(b) from assignment of a human rights officer under section 23 (2) of the Human Rights Code until the human rights officer submits a report under section 23 (3),

(c) from submission of the investigation report until the complaint is disposed of under section 26 of the Human Rights Code, and

(d) in cases where it is determined a complaint can be disposed of without an investigation, from filing a complaint until the complaint is disposed of under section 26 of the Human Rights Code.

1.Sections 46 (3) and 18 of the Human Rights Code, as referred to in sections 1 and 2 of this regulation, were repealed, effective March 31, 2003, by S.B.C. 2002, chapter 62, sections 24 and 5 respectively.

Note: this regulation repeals B.C. Regs. 151/75 and 239/92.
