Hydro and Power Authority Privatization Act

Privatization (Mainland Gas Division) Regulation (No. 2)

 Successor gas operator and special company designations

1  Effective immediately after acquisition by Inland Natural Gas Co. Ltd. of all of the shares owned by the government in B.C. Gas Inc. in a disposition approved under section 22 (1) (a) of the Hydro and Power Authority Privatization Act,

(a) B.C. Gas Inc. is designated as a successor gas operator and as a special company,

(b) the designation of B.C. Gas Inc. as a gas distribution intermediary is revoked, and

(c) B.C. Reg. 274/88 is repealed.

 Certain provisions disapplied

2  Subject to compliance with the B.C. Gas Inc. order, sections 58, 60 and 61 (4) to (6) of the Utilities Commission Act do not apply in respect of B.C. Gas Inc.

1.Note that part of this regulation was made under the authority of section 12 of S.B.C. 1988-39, which was repealed by section 22 (1) of that Act, effective October1,1991.
