Definitions

1  In this regulation:

"occupational performance" means the ability to choose, organize and effectively and safely perform everyday activities necessary for self-care and participation in educational, leisure, home management, and work activities.

 Designation

2  (1)  Occupational therapy is designated as a health profession.

(2)  The "College of Occupational Therapists of British Columbia" is the name of the college established under section 15 (1) of the Act for the health profession of occupational therapy.

 Reserved title

3  No person other than a registrant may use the title "occupational therapist".

 Scope of practice

4  A registrant may assess occupational performance and modify human and environmental conditions to maintain, restore or enhance occupational performance and health.

 Patient relations program

5  The college is designated for the purposes of section 16 (2) (f) of the Act.
