1 For the purposes of the Business Paper Reduction Act, the following Acts are designated:
(a) Repealed. [B.C. Reg. 438/99.]
(b) Repealed. [B.C. Reg. 15/2000.]
(b.1) Company Act;
(c) Document Disposal Act;
(d) Fisheries Act;
(e) Repealed. [B.C. Reg. 440/99.]
(f) Repealed. [B.C. Reg. 15/2000.]
(g) Municipal Act;
(h) and (i) Repealed. [B.C. Reg. 439/99.]
(j) Repealed. [B.C. Reg. 15/2000.]
(k) Vancouver Charter.

Filing of annual reports under sections 333 and 335 of the Company Act
3.1 (1) In this section:
"Act" means the Company Act;
"registrar" has the meaning given it in section 1 (1) of the Act.
(2) In the alternative to filing an annual report in accordance with sections 333, 334 and 335 of the Act, a person may file an annual report by electronic means if
(a) the annual report contains the information required by Form 16 or Form 17 of the Second Schedule to the Act, and
(b) the person has a password issued by the registrar.
(3) A record filed in accordance with subsection (2) may be filed without a signature.
(4) An error or omission in a record filed in accordance with subsection (2) may be corrected by filing with the registrar, either by electronic means or in paper form, an amendment that clearly identifies and corrects the error or omission and the registrar, on receipt of the filing, must
(a) correct the error or omission in the electronic record, and
(b) make a notation of the correction on the database.
(5) A record filed in accordance with subsection (2), which is maintained in digital or electronic form, may, on payment of the prescribed fee, be inspected or reproduced in paper form and the copy, if certified by the registrar, is admissible in evidence in place of and to the same extent as the original record.
(6) The fee for filing an annual report as set out in the Third Schedule of the Act applies to this section.

Alternative form of application for a licence under section 14 (1) of the Fisheries Act
4 (1) In the alternative to applying in writing to the minister under section 14 (1) of the Fisheries Act, an applicant may, if the minister has provided an electronic address for the receipt of applications, apply for a licence by sending the application by electronic means to the address provided by the minister.
(2) The minister must acknowledge receipt of an application made in accordance with subsection (1) by sending the acknowledgment by electronic means to the applicant.
Term of business licence under section 661 (5) of the Municipal Act
7 (1) Despite section 661 (5) of the Municipal Act, a council may, by bylaw, issue a business licence that terminates at any time up to 5 years after the date on which it is granted.
(2) The licensing period for a licence referred to in subsection (1) may be different for different licence categories.
(3) Despite section 661 (5) and (6) of the Municipal Act, the council may, by bylaw, set and impose licence fees for the purposes of subsection (1) that may be different for different licences and different licensing periods.
Term of a licence under section 273 of the Vancouver Charter
11 (1) Despite the termination of a licence on the thirty-first day of December of the year in which it is granted, as set out in section 273 of the Vancouver Charter, a license referred to in section 272 (1) (a) of that Act may be issued that terminates at any time up to 2 years after the date on which it is granted.
(2) The Council may, by bylaw, set and impose licence fees for the purposes of subsection (1) that are different for different licences and different licensing periods.
