Definition

1   In this regulation, "Act" means the Election Act.

Ordinary ballot

2   (1) The form of ordinary ballot set out in Schedule 1 is prescribed for the purposes of section 86 (2) of the Act.

(2) The form of ordinary ballot set out in Schedule 1 may include the following:

(a) information for the purpose of identifying the voting area;

(b) a quick-response (QR) code for the purposes of verifying the validity of the ballot and identifying the electoral district.

Write-in ballots

3   (1) A write-in ballot included in a mail-in voting package must be in the form set out in Schedule 2 or 3.

(2) If the form of write-in ballot set out in Schedule 2 is used, text identifying the electoral district of the voter may be printed on the reverse side of the ballot.

(3) A write-in ballot used for any other alternative voting option or for a voting opportunity must be in the form set out in Schedule 3.
