Coast Mountain Hydro Exemption Regulation

Definitions

1   In this regulation:

"Act" means the Utilities Commission Act;

"Coast Mountain Hydro" means Coast Mountain Hydro Limited Partnership and its successors and assigns;

"Coast Mountain Hydro transmission system" means the transmission system owned by Coast Mountain Hydro on the date this regulation comes into force;

"Eskay mine" means the Eskay Creek open pit gold and silver mine located approximately 83 km northwest of the District of Stewart.

Exemption

2   Coast Mountain Hydro is exempt from Part 3 of the Act in respect of

(a) the Coast Mountain Hydro transmission system,

(b) the provision of service respecting the transmission of electricity from the authority's transmission system to the Eskay mine,

(c) extensions of the Coast Mountain Hydro transmission system, and

(d) reconstruction of the Coast Mountain Hydro transmission system.
