Barkerville Historic Park

1 (1) Payments may be made out of the consolidated revenue fund for the purpose of restoration, development and maintenance of the Barkerville Historic Park.

(2) The amount paid out under this section must not exceed the cash balance of the Barkerville Historic Park Development Fund as of March 31, 1982.

Downtown revitalization

2 (1) Payments may be made out of the consolidated revenue fund to grant aid to municipalities and the business community to revitalize downtown areas and to provide loans to municipalities to assist in the capital cost of downtown improvement.

(2) The amount paid out under this section must not exceed the cash balance of the Downtown Revitalization Fund as of March 31, 1982.

Prevention of drug, alcohol and cigarette abuse

3 (1) Payments may be made out of the consolidated revenue fund for one or more of the following:

(a) education concerning the problems resulting from the use of drugs, alcohol and cigarettes;

(b) rehabilitation from the effects resulting from the use of drugs, alcohol and cigarettes;

(c) prevention of the use of drugs, alcohol and cigarettes.

(2) The amount paid out under this section must not exceed the cash balance of the Drug, Alcohol and Cigarette Education, Prevention and Rehabilitation Fund as of March 31, 1982.

Forest, range and recreation resources

4 (1) Payments may be made out of the consolidated revenue fund for the enhanced management of the forest, range and recreation resources of British Columbia.

(2) The amount paid out under this section must not exceed the cash balance of the Forest and Range Resource Fund as of March 31, 1982.

Provincial computerization of libraries

5 (1) Payments may be made out of the consolidated revenue fund to assist public libraries in British Columbia to institute automated cataloguing and circulating systems.

(2) The amount paid out under this section must not exceed the cash balance of the Provincial Computerization of Libraries Fund as of March 31, 1982.

Urban transit

6 (1) Payments may be made out of the consolidated revenue fund

(a) to fulfill the obligation of the government for sharing of capital expenditures under the British Columbia Transit Act, and

(b) to provide money for interim financing for construction or acquisition of a rail transit system by the British Columbia Transit under the British Columbia Transit Act.

(2) The amount paid out under this section must not exceed the cash balance of the Urban Transit Fund as of March 31, 1982.

Power to make regulations

7 The Lieutenant Governor in Council may make regulations referred to in section 41 of the Interpretation Act.
