1 Section 1 of the Travel Agents Act is amended by repealing the definition of "scheduled travel transportation".
1985-85-1.
2 Section 8 is amended
(a) in subsection (2) by adding "Subject to subsection (5)," at the beginning, and
(b) by adding the following subsection:
(5) If a travel agent or travel wholesaler disburses money to a person, other than a person registered, whose place of business is located outside British Columbia in payment for a travel service, then despite subsection (2) the travel agent or travel wholesaler is jointly and separately liable under subsection (1), but the liability is limited to a prescribed maximum amount.

3 Sections 1 and 2 come into force by regulation of the Lieutenant Governor in Council.
