B.C. Reg. 10/2004, deposited January 23, 2004, pursuant to the EMPLOYMENT AND ASSISTANCE ACT [Section 35] and the EMPLOYMENT AND ASSISTANCE FOR PERSONS WITH DISABILITIES ACT [Section 26]. Order in Council 28/2004, approved and ordered January 22, 2004.

On the recommendation of the undersigned, the Lieutenant Governor, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, orders that, effective February 1, 2004,

(a) the Employment and Assistance Regulation, B.C. Reg. 263/2002, is amended as set out in the attached Schedule A, and

(b) the Employment and Assistance for Persons with Disabilities Regulation, B.C. Reg. 265/2002, is amended as set out in the attached Schedule B.

Schedule A

1 Section 2 of Schedule C of the Employment and Assistance Regulation, B.C. Reg. 263/2002, is amended

(a) in subsection (1) by adding the following paragraph:

(g) subject to subsection (2), podiatry services delivered in not more than 12 visits per year to a podiatrist registered with the British Columbia Association of Podiatrists under the Podiatrists Act for which

(i) a medical practitioner has confirmed an acute need,

(ii) payment is not available under the Medicare Protection Act, and

(iii) there are no resources available to the family unit to cover the cost. , and

(b) by repealing subsection (2) and substituting the following:

(2) No more than 12 visits per year are payable by the minister under this section for any combination of physiotherapy services, chiropractic services, massage therapy services and podiatry services.

Schedule B

1 Section 2 of Schedule C of the Employment and Assistance for Persons with Disabilities Regulation, B.C. Reg. 265/2002, is amended

(a) in subsection (1) by adding the following paragraph:
