I, Murray Coell, Minister of Community, Aboriginal and Women's Services, make the following regulation, effective April 1, 2004.
FEE SETTING CRITERIA REGULATION
1 In this regulation:
"act" means the Safety Standards Act;
"authority" means the British Columbia Safety Authority;
"effective date" means the date on which the delegation to the authority of the administration of provisions of the Act comes into effect;
"initial fees" means the fees established by the authority to be in effect on the effective date;
"stakeholder" means a person doing regulated work who is subject to the authority's administration under the Act.
2 The fee setting process established by the authority under section 86 of the Act for fees other than initial fees must include all of the following steps taken by the authority:
(a) consulting with representative stakeholders with respect to the allocation of indirect costs among the industry sectors;
(b) consulting with representative stakeholders before changing any fees;
(c) notifying stakeholders of any increase in fees at least 90 days before the increase is implemented.
