B.C. Reg. 136/2004, deposited March 26, 2004, pursuant to the SAFETY STANDARDS ACT [Sections 84 (1), 89 and 103] and the ADMINISTRATIVE TRIBUNALS APPOINTMENT AND ADMINISTRATION ACT [Section 70]. Order in Council 292/2004, approved and ordered March 25, 2004.

On the recommendation of the undersigned, the Lieutenant Governor, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, orders that, effective April 1, 2004,

(a) the Safety Standards Act, S.B.C. 2003, c. 39, is brought into force by this regulation,

(b) sections 59 and 60 of the Administrative Tribunals Appointment and Administration Act, S.B.C. 2003, c. 47, are brought into force by this regulation, and

(c) the administration of the following enactments is delegated to the British Columbia Safety Authority:

(i) the Safety Standards Act, S.B.C. 2003, c. 39, except for sections 5 to 8, 12 (2), 13, 14 (2), 16, 33 (3) (b), 35 (1) and (2), 43 to 48, 51 to 62, 81, 83 to 85 and 87 to 103;

(ii) the Electrical Safety Regulation;

(iii) the Elevating Devices Safety Regulation;

(iv) the Gas Safety Regulation;

(v) the Safety Standards General Regulation;

(vi) the Power Engineers, Boiler, Pressure Vessel and Refrigeration Safety Regulation.
