B.C. Reg. 163/2004, deposited April 15, 2004, pursuant to the HOTEL ROOM TAX ACT [Section 43 (2) (e) and (f)]. Order in Council 368/2004, approved and ordered April 15, 2004.

On the recommendation of the undersigned, the Administrator, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, orders that, effective June 1, 2004, the following regulation is made:

ADDITIONAL TAX REGULATION (CITY OF BURNABY)

1 Section 2 (1) of the Hotel Room Tax Act applies in respect of accommodation purchased within the City of Burnaby on or before June 1, 2009.

2 The additional tax payable under that section is 2% of the purchase price of the accommodation.

3 The purpose for which the amount paid to the municipality out of the revenue collected from the tax may be expended are tourism marketing, programs and projects.
