B.C. Reg. 173/2004, deposited April 22, 2004, pursuant to the COMMUNITY CHARTER TRANSITIONAL PROVISIONS, CONSEQUENTIAL AMENDMENTS AND OTHER AMENDMENTS ACT, 2003 [Section 3]. Order in Council 393/2004, approved and ordered April 21, 2004.

On the recommendation of the undersigned, the Lieutenant Governor, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, orders that the Community Charter Interim Regulations, B.C. Reg. 429/2003, be amended by adding the following section:

Application of definitions to Vancouver

6 (1) The definitions in the Local Government Act and the Community Charter apply to the City of Vancouver in relation to the application of the provisions referred to in section 2.1 (1) and (2) [application of Local Government Act and Community Charter to city] of the Vancouver Charter to the city.

(2) Subsection (1) is deemed to have come into force on January 1, 2004, and is retroactive to the extent necessary to give it effect on and after that date.
