B.C. Reg. 276/2004, deposited June 18, 2004, pursuant to the EMPLOYMENT AND ASSISTANCE ACT [Section 35] and the EMPLOYMENT AND ASSISTANCE FOR PERSONS WITH DISABILITIES ACT [Section 26]. Order in Council 624/2004, approved and ordered June 17, 2004.
On the recommendation of the undersigned, the Lieutenant Governor, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Counsel, orders that, effective July 1, 2004,
(a) the Employment and Assistance Regulation, B.C. Reg. 263/2002, is amended as set out in section 1 of the attached Schedule, and
(b) the Employment and Assistance for Persons with Disabilities Regulation, B.C. Reg. 265/2002, is amended as set out in section 2 of the attached Schedule.

Schedule
1 The Employment and Assistance Regulation, B.C. Reg. 263/2002, is amended
(a) by repealing section 11 (1) (s) and substituting the following:
(s) money that is
(i) paid or payable to a person if the money is awarded to the person by an adjudicative panel in respect of claims of abuse at Jericho Hill School for the Deaf and drawn from a lump sum settlement paid by the government of British Columbia, or
(ii) paid or payable to or for a person if the payment is in accordance with the settlement agreement approved by the Supreme Court in Action No. C980463, Vancouver Registry; ,
(b) by repealing section 1 (a) (xii) of Schedule B and substituting the following:
(xii) money that is
(A) paid or payable to a person if the money is awarded to the person by an adjudicative panel in respect of claims of abuse at Jericho Hill School for the Deaf and drawn from a lump sum settlement paid by the government of British Columbia, or
(B) paid or payable to or for a person if the payment is in accordance with the settlement agreement approved by the Supreme Court in Action No. C980463, Vancouver Registry; , and
(c) by repealing section 6 (k) of Schedule D and substituting the following:
(k) money that is
(i) paid or payable to a person if the money is awarded to the person by an adjudicative panel in respect of claims of abuse at Jericho Hill School for the Deaf and drawn from a lump sum settlement paid by the government of British Columbia, or
(ii) paid or payable to or for a person if the payment is in accordance with the settlement agreement approved by the Supreme Court in Action No. C980463, Vancouver Registry; .
2 The Employment and Assistance for Persons with Disabilities Regulation, B.C. Reg. 262/2002, is amended
(a) by repealing section 10 (1) (s) and substituting the following:
(s) money that is
(i) paid or payable to a person if the money is awarded to the person by an adjudicative panel in respect of claims of abuse at Jericho Hill School for the Deaf and drawn from a lump sum settlement paid by the government of British Columbia, or
(ii) paid or payable to or for a person if the payment is in accordance with the settlement agreement approved by the Supreme Court in Action No. C980463, Vancouver Registry; ,
(b) by repealing section 1 (a) (xii) of Schedule B and substituting the following:
(xii) money that is
(A) paid or payable to a person if the money is awarded to the person by an adjudicative panel in respect of claims of abuse at Jericho Hill School for the Deaf and drawn from a lump sum settlement paid by the government of British Columbia, or
(B) paid or payable to or for a person if the payment is in accordance with the settlement agreement approved by the Supreme Court in Action No. C980463, Vancouver Registry; , and
