On the recommendation of the undersigned, the Lieutenant Governor, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, orders that section 2 of the Safety Standards Act Repeal and Transitional Provisions Regulations, B.C. Reg. 137/2004, is amended

(a) by renumbering the section as section 2 (1), and

(b) by adding the following subsection:

(2) A local government that continues to administer gas systems and equipment or electrical equipment under subsection (1) must administer all inspections required with respect to permits issued by the local government during that continued administration, whether or not the local government is no longer otherwise administering gas systems and equipment or electrical equipment when an inspection is required.
