I, Rich Coleman, Minister of Public Safety and Solicitor General, order that, effective July 4, 2004, the following regulation is made.
FEE SETTING CRITERIA REGULATION
1 For the purposes of section 179 of the Business Practices and Consumer Protection Act and section 59 of the Cremation, Interment and Funeral Services Act, the administrative authority must comply with a fee setting process that is in accordance with the following criteria:
(a) before setting fees, charges or other amounts under those sections, the authority must consult with
(i) the industry the authority considers affected, and
(ii) any parties the authority considers interested;
(b) the authority must give at least 90 days' notice to the affected industry before a fee, charge or other amount set by the authority has effect.
