B.C. Reg. 323/2004, deposited July 8, 2004, pursuant to the ENVIRONMENTAL MANAGEMENT ACT [Section 138 (4)]. Ministerial Order M270/2004, dated June 29, 2004.
I, Bill Barisoff, Minister of Water, Land and Air Protection, order that, effective on the date that section 138 (4) of the Environmental Management Act comes into force, the Environmental Data Quality Assurance Regulation, B.C. Reg. 301/90, is amended
(a) in section 1 by repealing the definitions of "manager" and "officer" and substituting the following:
"director" includes a regional water manager as defined in the Water Act and an administrator or inspector as defined in the Pesticide Control Act;
"officer" includes a person employed by a municipality who is
(a) designated in writing by a director, or
(b) a member of a class designated in writing by a director; ,
(b) in section 2 by striking out "on the request of a manager," and substituting "on the request of a director,",
(c) in section 2 (b) (i) by striking out everything after "an officer" and substituting "or another person designated by the director, and",
(d) in section 2 (d) by striking out "by the director or authorized by the manager, and" and substituting "or authorized by the director, and", and
(e) by repealing section 3.
