B.C. Reg. 355/2004, deposited July 23, 2004, pursuant to the FOREST AND RANGE PRACTICES ACT [Sections 141, 146 and 153]. Order in Council 795/2004, approved and ordered July 22, 2004.

On the recommendation of the undersigned, the Administrator, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, orders that the Woodlot Licence Planning and Practices Regulation, B.C. Reg. 21/2004, is amended

(a) in section 2 by repealing subsection (10) and substituting the following:

(10) Until November 30, 2004, this regulation and the standards and objectives made under it apply immediately, despite section 16 (2) [approval of woodlot licence plan or amendment] of the Act, to the woodlot licence plan.

(b) in section 17 by adding the following subsection:

(3.1) A woodlot licence holder who publishes a notice or refers a copy of the plan under subsection (1) must, for the period referred to in subsection (3), make reasonable efforts to meet with first nation groups affected by the plan to discuss the plan or amendment. , and

(c) in section 17 (5) by striking out "and" at the end of paragraph (b), adding it to the end of paragraph (c) and by adding the following paragraph:

(d) a description of the efforts made to comply with the requirements of subsection (3.1).
