B.C. Reg. 463/2004, deposited October 22, 2004, pursuant to the COMMUNITY CHARTER TRANSITIONAL PROVISIONS, CONSEQUENTIAL AMENDMENTS AND OTHER AMENDMENTS ACT [Section 3 (1) (d) and (2)]. Order in Council 1013/2004, approved and ordered October 21, 2004.

On the recommendation of the undersigned, the Lieutenant Governor, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, orders that the Community Charter Interim Regulations, B.C. Reg. 429/2003, is amended by adding the following section:

Permissive tax exemption for land and improvements of local authority

8 (1) Section 809 (4) (g) (ii) of the Local Government Act must be read as if the reference to "the council" were a reference to "the board".

(2) Subsection (1) is deemed to have come into force on April 30, 2004, and is retroactive to the extent necessary to give it effect on and after that date.
