B.C. Reg. 493/2004, deposited November 19, 2004, pursuant to the CHILD CARE SUBSIDY ACT, [Section 13]. Order in Council 1097/2004, approved and ordered November 18, 2004.
On the recommendation of the undersigned, the Lieutenant Governor, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, orders that, effective January 1, 2005, the Child Care Subsidy Regulation, B.C. Reg. 74/97, is amended according to the attached schedule.

Schedule
1 Section 1 of the Child Care Subsidy Regulation, B.C. Reg. 74/97, is amended by adding the following definition:
"registered licence-not-required child care setting" means a licence-not-required child care setting registered under the Child Care Resource and Referral Program in accordance with the standards specified in the "Child Care Resource and Referral Program Standards Manual" that is on file with the office of the Deputy Minister; .
2 Section 8 (2) (b) is amended by striking out "60%" and substituting "50%".
3 Section 9 is amended
(a) in subsection (1) (k) by striking out "loans,",
(b) by repealing subsection (1) (k) (ii) and substituting the following:
(i) with respect to grants provided under the British Columbia Student Assistance Program, $50 for each week covered by the grant. , and
(c) in subsection (2) by adding the following paragraph:
(t) loans provided under the British Columbia Student Assistance Program.
4 Section 10 (3) is amended
(a) in paragraphs (b) and (c) by striking out "$315" and substituting "$515", and
(b) by adding the following paragraph:
(d) by $100 per month if one or more persons in the family
(i) are children with special needs, and
(ii) receive child care in a setting described in section 2 (a), (b) or (c).
5 Schedule A is amended by repealing the table entitled "Subsidy Rates for Licensed Child Care Settings" and substituting the following tables:
