B.C. Reg. 522/2004, deposited December 3, 2004, pursuant to the FARMING AND FISHING INDUSTRIES DEVELOPMENT ACT [Section 10]. Order in Council 1139/2004, approved and ordered December 2, 2004.

On the recommendation of the undersigned, the Lieutenant Governor, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, orders that, effective January 1, 2005, the attached Mushroom Industry Development Council Regulation is made.

MUSHROOM INDUSTRY
DEVELOPMENT COUNCIL REGULATION

Definitions

1 In this regulation:

"Act" means the Farming and Fishing Industries Development Act;

"council" means the Mushroom Industry Development Council established by the minister under section 2 of the Act;

"levy" means the levy referred to in section 2;

"mushroom" means agaricus bisporous;

"mushroom grower" means a person who operates a farm in British Columbia that produces mushrooms for sale.

Payment of levy

2 Each mushroom grower must pay to the council the levy established by the council under section 4 (1) of the Act.

Remittance of levy

3 The levy for each period set out in column 1 of the following table must be remitted by the due date set out in column 2 of the table.

Sunset of this regulation

4 This regulation is repealed effective January 1, 2010.
